What is the Alameda Family Services League?
The Holiday Home Tour is hosted by the Alameda Family Services League (AFSL), a volunteer fundraising auxiliary which supports the programs of Alameda Family Services. This vital resource to Alameda County families include individual and family counseling and small group assistance to children, youth, and families, school-based health centers for students and families, Head Start and Early Head Start Programs, and the DreamCatcher Emergency Youth Shelter and Support Services for homeless and runaway youth.
Alameda Family Services works closely with other community service agencies to meet the needs of families in crisis. For this Season of Giving, you’ll be glad to know that 100 percent of the proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour go directly to Alameda Family Services to support services provided to children and families in our communities. The money raised at the Tour allows Alameda Family Services to maintain these low-cost services for the benefit of some of the area’s most vulnerable children and families.
